This class is an intense three–day workshop in which students are taught a traditional pastel technique. Working with live models, students will explore drawing, composition, anatomy, proportion, value, color, and oil or pastel application. Emphasis will be on developing form using light and shadow. Students do not need prior pastel experience. Some drawing would be helpful, but not imperative.
1ST DAY
9:00 a.m.–10:00 a.m.—Demo
10:00–12:30—Morning session

1:30–4:00 p.m.—Afternoon session
