Watercolor Brushes by Richeson
| Kolinsky Brushes The finest Kolinsky in the world comes from Russia, so we located the oldest brush manufacturers in Russia and asked them to make our top Kolinsky series. Using only the finest male Kolinsky, our brush makers go right to the source and purchase our Kolinsky directly from the fur traders. The hair used in Richeson Kolinsky brushes is prepared with great care right in our brush maker's factory. After careful preparation of the hair, our brushes are created by hand so that each brush develops a needle point and a crisp snap and resiliency. Kolinsky Series Rounds - 6228 |

| Sable Brushes Sable, what is it? The real source is the Marten Weasel, generally located in Russia and China. The unique shape of each strand of hair is what makes this hair so great for brush making. It is a byproduct of the fur industry, as only the tail of the weasel is used in brush making. We use Sable that comes from a Northern Province of Russia. The hair is then shipped to Germany, where our brushes are made by a family that has been involved in brush making for seven generations. These fabulous brushes have beautiful, balanced short handles. Sable/Squirrel Liner - 9707 |
